Some details & specifics

Analytics and account are 100% separated. If you opt into analytics and have an account, any of your account data (email, etc.) is NOT combined with the analytics data. I do not know who you are when you visit the site. I'll only see something like "User with random id 5893568308... visited the map rotation page."

Any account data (email, etc.) is stored in my own database and is never shared or sold. Account in this site is purely for storing your settings. Account data is stored securely and password is hashed. I do not have access to your password.

Google AdSense is a separate service and by accepting ads, you accept AdSense's privacy policy. Through these ads I do not know who you are. I do not have access to your Google account.

Welcome to pubgstatistics.com (the “Site”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site or use its services. It also describes your rights and how you can exercise them.

By accessing or using our Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must cease use of the Site.

3. Scope

This Policy applies to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our Site. It covers:

  1. The types of information we collect from you (and why).
  2. How we use the collected information.
  3. When and why we share your information with third parties (e.g., Google, PostHog, Supabase).
  4. Your rights regarding your personal data and how to exercise them.

4. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

4.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

  • Account Registration: If you choose to create an account on the Site, we may collect personal information such as your email address and possibly external account's username (Github, Discord, ...). This data is stored in our Supabase database to enable account functionality (e.g., saving your preferences).
  • Contact/Support: If you contact us by email or through a contact form, we will collect your name, email, and the content of your message for the purpose of responding to you.

4.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Cookie-Based Tracking (with Consent): If you consent to optional cookies (analytics or ads), we and our third-party partners (e.g., PostHog, Google) may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your device, browsing actions, and usage patterns on our Site.
  • Cookieless Analytics: If you decline analytics cookies, PostHog will operate in a cookieless mode that does not store identifiers on your device but still collects aggregated site usage data (e.g., page views) on an anonymous basis.
  • Log Files: Our servers may automatically log certain technical data when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps. We use this data to maintain the security and performance of our Site and to diagnose technical issues.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and Maintain the Site: Enable you to create an account and access your personal settings; ensure the Site functions correctly and securely.
  • Improve User Experience and Services: Conduct internal analytics (via PostHog) to understand how users interact with the Site and to enhance features, design, and performance; respond to your inquiries, comments, or feedback.
  • Advertising (Google AdSense): Display ads to help fund our Site. If you consent to advertising cookies, Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver personalized or contextual ads and measure their effectiveness.
  • Legal Compliance and Protection: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes; protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others.

6. Legal Bases for Processing Your Data

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: For analytics cookies (when you opt in) and for advertising cookies (Google AdSense) if you opt in to ads.
  • Performance of a Contract: When you create an account, we process your data to provide the account-related services.
  • Legitimate Interest: For security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and to improve the Site’s functionality where cookie-based tracking is not required.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use both necessary and optional cookies:

  • Necessary Cookies: Essential for the Site’s operation (e.g., session cookies, security tokens, cookies that store your privacy preferences). These are always active and do not require consent.
  • Analytics Cookies (PostHog): Used only if you opt in. They help us see how users navigate the Site so we can improve performance and user experience. If you do notconsent, PostHog will be set to cookieless mode and will not store any persistent identifiers on your device.
  • Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense): Used only if you opt in. These cookies help Google AdSense deliver and measure ads. Even non-personalized (contextual) ads require basic cookies for fraud detection and frequency capping. If you do not consent, no ad cookies will be set, and ads may not be displayed.

Managing Cookies: You can manage your cookie preferences via our cookie banner, which provides a choice between “Accept All,” “Reject All,” or detailed toggles for analytics and ads. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. However, blocking necessary cookies may affect Site functionality.

8. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: We store user account data (email, configurations) in a Supabase database. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Data is hosted in the European Union region.
  • PostHog: We use PostHog to analyze Site usage. It may place cookies on your device with your consent or run in cookieless mode if you opt out. No personally identifying information (like your name or email) is shared with PostHog. We do not connect your account to PostHog data in any way. Data is hosted in the European Union region.
  • Google AdSense: We use AdSense to display ads. AdSense may collect and use data via cookies or similar technologies if you consent to advertising cookies. For more details, refer to Google’s Privacy & Terms.

Each of these third parties handles your information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary and do not sell or rent your personal information.

9. Data Retention

  • Account Information: We store your account data as long as you maintain an account. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are legally required to retain it.
  • Analytics Data: Data collected via analytics is generally stored in aggregate or pseudonymized form.
  • Ad Data: Google AdSense’s data retention depends on Google’s own policies. We do not control their retention directly.

10. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit (where applicable) and restricting access to personal data only to those who need it to operate the Site.

11. International Data Transfers

Where possible, we host data in the EU (e.g., using Supabase’s EU-based servers). If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your rights and comply with GDPR requirements.

12. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: Request information about the personal data we hold about you.
