Frequently Asked Questions

The condensed version of this list lives on the homepage. This is the longer one, covering search, scans, and how the stats themselves are put together. Anything not covered here can go through the contact page.

General

Is pubgstatistics.com free to use?

Yes. Every feature on the site, match history, weapon stats, heatmaps, and everything else, is free. There's no premium tier and no paywall.

How do I log in / create an account?

You don't. This site doesn't have accounts, so there's no login or signup anywhere. You search for a player by name and platform, and that's it.

Is this affiliated with KRAFTON or PUBG Corporation?

No. Pubgstatistics.com is an independent fan project. It's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by KRAFTON or PUBG Corporation.

How do I get in touch or report a bug?

Use the contact page. It has an email address and a link to the Discord server, and I read reports from both directly.

Search and platforms

Which platforms and regions are covered?

Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Kakao, essentially anything PUBG's own API tracks. Pick your platform in the search form before looking up a name.

Why do I have to type my name exactly, capital letters and all?

PUBG's own API is strict and case-sensitive for player names. If a search comes back empty, double check the exact capitalization and special characters you use in-game before assuming something's broken.

I can't find my account on the site?!?

Capitalization and special characters are the usual culprit, see the question above. It could also be that the username has been changed recently and it may take some time for that to register. Also check that you have selected the correct platform.

Match history and scans

How current is my match history?

Matches are as recent as we can get from PUBG's servers when you click the orange "Update" button on the player page. Once a match is saved here it stays in your history permanently, even after it disappears from the in-game client.

I can't see all my matches, only some from the last few days

PUBG only keeps the last 14 days of your matches on their API servers, so we can't get anything older than that, sorry about that! Once a match has been scanned, though, it's kept for good, so history builds up the more you use the site.

Why is there a cooldown before I can scan again?

Scans are rate-limited per player so the site stays within PUBG's API limits instead of hammering it with repeat requests. Wait out the cooldown shown on the update button and it'll open up again.

Stats and features

How are weapon damage stats calculated?

From real player damage events, not from PUBG's static game files. The site processes the damage telemetry recorded during actual matches and aggregates it, so the numbers reflect what weapons are doing in practice, not just their on-paper values.

What do the heatmaps actually show?

Where you've landed, traveled, taken damage, and fought across your matches, built from the location data inside each match's telemetry.

The site shows different stats than PUBG shows in-game

Many of the site's stats are based on counting and analyzing the individual events that happen in your matches: kills, deaths, revives, knocks, and so on. When we count and store those numbers for you, the methodology can be slightly different from what PUBG itself shows in-game. This site could for example exclude bot kills in some stats, which changes your KD.

What are engagement maps?

Directional arrows showing where knocks, kills, deaths, and downs happened relative to the players involved, so you can see how a fight actually played out instead of just reading a kill count.

How is my KD trend calculated?

The site tracks kills and deaths match by match and charts them over time, so you can see whether your KD is actually moving up or down instead of only looking at one lifetime number.

Data and privacy

Does the site store anything besides my stats?

There's no account system, so there's nothing like a password or email tied to your profile. What gets stored is match and player data pulled from PUBG's own API, and everyone can see everyone's stats. No one owns any specific player since there are no accounts.N

Where can I read the full privacy policy?

See the privacy policy for the full details.
